AARP Services, a wholly-owned for-profit subsidiary of AARP, contracts with Siteworx to operate and (herein “Site” or “Sites”). In this policy, the terms "we", "our" and "us" refer to AARP Services and/or Siteworx. The terms "you" and "your" refer to visitors of the Sites like yourself.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and want to make sure that you understand how your personal information is used. We also want you to be aware that you have choices about how we use this information.

What Information We Collect

When you register for the Site, or request additional information regarding products found on the Site, we ask for basic information such as your name, date of birth, email address, zip code and AARP membership number.

Information Sharing

We share your information only with AARP and with the companies who have been selected to provide AARP member services or support our operations. Some of the providers of AARP member services, including those appearing on the Sites , pay a royalty fee to AARP for access to our members. Our contracts with these companies require them to keep any member information they receive confidential, and allow them to use the information only to offer the contracted services to AARP and its affiliates and AARP members. AARP Services also oversee the companies' compliance with the confidentiality requirements. Other AARP affiliates, such as the AARP Foundation, may also have access to member information that we have acquired.

We also may release your personal information on the rare occasions when we are required to do so by law, or when necessary or appropriate to comply with legal process or to protect or defend AARP and its affiliates and its members. Neither AARP Services not AARP sells or rents member information to telemarketers, mailing list brokers, or any other companies that are not offering AARP-approved services or benefits or providing services to AARP or its affiliates.

Collection of Non-personal Information Using "Cookies" and Otherwise

We also collect other types of information that do not allow us to identify your name, e-mail address, or other personal characteristics. This "non-personal information" includes the number assigned to your computer whenever you access the Internet ("IP address"), and the type of browser you use. None of this non-personal information allows us to identify or contact you. We will use this information to help us evaluate how the Sites are being used. By gathering this information, we can learn, among other things, how many people visit the site, which pages are the most and least popular, and which other sites are the most frequent referral sources for the site.
